Jr. Designer (1 - 2 years experience)

The Opportunity:

As a Junior Designer at McMahon Architects, you will work directly with all levels of staff to contribute to the implementation of the commercial interior and hospitality projects undertaken in our office.  You will be asked to contribute to more than one project at a time.

On a daily basis you may be required to interact with the various trades and vendors associated with a project.  This may include contractors, product suppliers, property managers and owners, engineers and consultants to list a few.  Architectural Drafter/Intern is responsible for contributions to drawing sets including Fit Plans, Schematic Designs and Construction Documents with guidance from the assigned Asst. Project Mangers/Project Manager.  Other duties may include field surveys and existing conditions drawings, details and design studies, product critiques and finish selection.  You will also be asked to undertake administrative chores that are necessary to keep a busy and growing office functioning.

Must be proficient with Revit.  Also desired: AutoCAD 2016 PhotoShop, In Design, Sketch-up, MS Office Suite and.  We’re looking for someone with a Bachelor’s Degree or near the end of their education who has previous work experience in an Architectural firm.

The Compensation:

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.  Health and dental insurance are available through the firm.  Holiday, vacation & sick/personal days are included with benefits package.  McMahon Architects also has a 401k plan for which the candidate will be eligible after one year’s employment.
